Top 10 Emerging Leaders to Launch Fundraising Campaigns for the Benefit of Youth Mentoring

MEDFORD, OR— On Thursday, August 24th at 11:00 AM, the Top 10 Emerging Leaders of Southern Oregon will be announced! The Top 10 Leaders will gather at Million Air Medford on Milligan Way to launch the month-long “Top 10 Emerging Leaders Philanthropic Challenge.” These under-40 year old emerging leaders were recently chosen by members of the community, based on their commitment to making the region a better and safer place to live, as well as their strong work ethic, professional maturity and high personal standards. Over 30 nominations were received for this honor. Each will use their inspiration, talents and drive to raise financial support for the work of Rogue Valley Youth for Christ, an organization dedicated in connecting healthy adults in relational mentoring programs with the youth. And, each emerging leader will be introduced during this pre-event gathering and an opportunity will be available for the media to interview these extraordinary individuals within our community on August 24th between 11 am – 12:30. Members of the press are invited to the event.


The Emerging Leader Philanthropic Challenge starts on Friday, September 1st and ends on Sunday, September 30th at 4pm. Through it, each emerging leader will create innovative fundraising campaigns that will raise awareness in mentoring youth while garnering much-needed funding for the many programs through Rogue Valley Youth for Christ. On October 24th, a celebration luncheon will take place at the INN at the COMMONS where the challenge winner will be announced.

The Top 10 Emerging Leaders will gain invaluable experience in philanthropy and have an opportunity to establish important networking opportunities while at the same time using their leadership skills to transform lives.

The August 24th event will be held in the 2nd Floor Conference Room at Million Air Medford, located at 2040 Milligan Way at 10am.
